Why all the conversation about self-love?
Many of us today find ourselves running around in order to manage our work, take a healthy amount of exercise and enjoy a lively social life, as well as quality time with our family. Often we take our guide on finding this balance from our perception of other people's lives, others' expectations of us... and also from the expectations we have of ourselves.
With all these influences, it can be a tricky balance to find and sometimes this causes a lot of unnecessary dissatsifaction, stress and exhaustion.
Time to pause...
So, what if there was a way to hit the pause button and just take a deep breath.
Clear the calendar (ideally)… or at least schedule some time to catch up.
Address the expectations we have of ourselves, and start to treat ourselves
with the kind of respect and TLC we would offer to a good friend;
to gain some some self-awarenesss of where our own priorities lie;
nourish our body, mind and soul;
foster some self-acceptance,
and wrap this up in a lovely package called self-love.

Curious to discover just how we all practice self-love in our everyday lives, I decided to find out the truth by carrying out a survey on the topic! And guess what, nearly everyone who took part felt they could give themselves a bit more self-love. So whether you look after yourself pretty well, but just feel a little worn out or jaded; whether you need some inspiration on how to be your own best friend; or even if you don’t know what all the fuss is about, the self-love weekend-er is here to help you feel more happy, balanced, loved and cherished.
